Underwater Photo Show Benefitting The GCC

Indonesian Sea Turtle

Board member Ted Papoulas is currently exhibiting his underwater photography, some in stereoscopic 3D, at Park Slope's Picada Y Vino wine shop during December and January.

The opening reception took place on Sunday, December 13th with the exhibit continuing through January 2010. The show consists of traditional prints of various underwater subjects as well as a few 3D anaglyphs viewed using red/blue glasses.

Ted also presented the release of a signed and numbered limited edition view-master reel of seven of his favorite stereoscopic underwater images. Only 50 gift sets were produced and will be sold at the shop along with a blue viewer in a signed and numbered box featuring a 3D anaglyphic print of an Indonesian sea turtle on the front.

Ted has been shooting stereo photography since 1991, owning over a dozen 3D cameras including the latest on the market, the new FUJI digital stereo camera. Since getting certified in 2004, his time in Brooklyn is just a rest between dive trips.

Sales to Benefit the Conservancy

Proceeds from all print and view-master sales will be donated to Brooklyn’s Gowanus Canal Conservancy. Picada Y Vino has graciously agreed to donate 10% of the sales price of two specified wines, one red and one white, to the Conservancy during the entire run of the show.
