Request for Proposals - Applications due Friday, April 14Gowanus ArtLab: 2017 Call for Artists

The Gowanus ArtLab hosts small-scale art workshops in a steel-framed pop-up structure on the Whole Foods Esplanade. In 2016, the Gowanus Canal Conservancy (GCC) hosted 10 diverse workshops with artists; over 60 participants painted, photographed, and shared poetry focused on the canal and its environment.

We are looking for artists to lead workshops in the space (1 artist per month, between May-September), drawing inspiration from the built and natural environment surrounding the Art Lab. Grant recipients will receive a $200 stipend, basic supplies needed for the workshop, and featured as the artist of the month on GCC promotional material. More information here.
